Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
Globally, more than 18% of older adults experience malnutrition. For example, in the United States, over half of older adults have one or more diet-related chronic health conditions like hypertension or heart disease. This Special Issue will highlight advanced research to support nutrition and promote healthy aging. This Special Issue aims to increase our understanding of strategies and evidence-based solutions to enhance nutrition among older adults. It will also discuss sustainable and scalable interventions that can be implemented in communities and institutional healthcare environments to support healthy aging through optimal nutrition—including those that provide support for older adults. This Special Issue also welcomes research on nutrition and food policy at multiple levels. We encourage submissions of original research articles, reviews, and commentaries addressing nutrition and healthy aging in older adults. Manuscripts will undergo rigorous peer review to ensure scientific rigor, relevance, and impact on older adults and their health.
