Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

School lunch systems are recognized worldwide as an important policy tool for improving child nutrition and promoting health equity. This Special Issue focuses on the distinctive school lunch models in various countries, examining their meal design, nutritional standards, operational management, and educational functions.

Through international case comparisons and empirical research, the long-term effects of different models on preventing childhood obesity, shaping dietary behaviors, and improving learning outcomes can be assessed. This Special Issue now openly solicits contributions and invites experts, scholars, policymakers, and practitioners in the field of school lunches to submit research papers, case studies, and review articles on topics such as innovative lunch models, nutritional intervention strategies, food education curriculum design, and sustainable development.

This Special Issue aims to build a high-level academic exchange platform that brings together cutting-edge theoretical insights and practical wisdom, collectively exploring ways to develop more effective and sustainable school lunch systems to address the increasingly severe global challenges to children’s health.
