Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
Esophageal diseases, including esophageal cancer and benign conditions, often have profound impacts on patients’ nutritional status, leading to weight loss, malnutrition, and impaired treatment outcomes. Nutritional intervention plays a pivotal role in the comprehensive management of these patients, not only improving perioperative recovery but also enhancing tolerance to chemoradiotherapy and long-term prognosis. Recent advances in minimally invasive surgery, endoscopic therapy, and multimodal treatment have further highlighted the importance of tailored nutritional strategies. This Special Issue, “Nutritional Intervention for Esophageal Diseases”, aims to provide a platform to explore the latest findings and innovations in nutritional assessment, perioperative support, and therapeutic approaches that integrate nutrition into clinical practice. We welcome submissions ranging from basic research and translational studies to clinical trials and case reports. By sharing cutting-edge evidence and multidisciplinary perspectives, this collection seeks to deepen understanding and improve patient care in the field of esophageal diseases.
