Dear Colleagues,
This Special Issue will be dedicated to the basics of thin film manufacturing including modelling of coating growth or reactions taking place during the formation of the layer. In addition, contributions around deposition, creation, and incorporation of nanoparticles and related films for functional and tribological applications are particularly welcome. This Special Issue is open to both vacuum and non-vacuum coating manufacturing techniques including PVD, CVD, ALD, sol-gel, thermal spray, and electroplating.
