Integrative Metabolomics
A section of Metabolites (ISSN 2218-1989).
Section Information
This section of the journal will focus on studies that investigate the interactions between metabolites and lipids with other complex networks in living organisms, such as the proteome, transcriptome, and genome. Of particular interest will be studies that advance our understanding of how these intricate networks influence each other, and how they co-ordinate their responses to alter health and precipitate disease.
Within the Integrative Metabolomics section, specific topics of interest include but are not limited to:
- Expansion of existing metabolomics datasets in living organisms
- Integration of ‘omics datasets, including metabolomics, in the setting of health and disease
- Novel approaches toward the integration of metabolomics datasets with other aspects of biology
- Engaging metabolomics and other OMICS approaches to expand biological insights
- Workflows that facilitate integration of metabolomic datasets
- Employing metabolomics as biomarkers and diagnostics
