Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

This Special Issue focuses on the latest advancements in the surgical treatment of digestive tract cancers, encompassing the esophagus, stomach, liver, pancreas, colon, and rectum. Over the past decade, the field has seen significant progress in surgical techniques and adjuvant therapies, enhancing patient outcomes and recovery.

This Special Issue highlights key developments in minimally invasive surgery, including laparoscopic and robotic approaches, which have improved precision, reduced complications, and shortened recovery times. We also examine the growing role of neoadjuvant and adjuvant treatments, such as chemotherapy, radiation, and immunotherapy, in optimizing surgical outcomes and preventing recurrence.

In addition to surgical techniques, this Special Issue explores the importance of multidisciplinary care, emphasizing collaboration among surgeons, oncologists, and radiologists. Personalized medicine, guided by genetic profiling, is also discussed to tailor treatments for individual patients, ensuring better prognoses.

Furthermore, this collection covers the latest updates in clinical trials and guidelines that shape current practice. By showcasing recent innovations and evidence-based approaches, this Special Issue provides essential insights for healthcare professionals involved in the management of digestive tract cancers.
