Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
The previous special issue titled "Ceramic Dental Restorations - From Materials Sciences to Applications" featured seven articles that explored both fundamental research and clinical evaluations of dental ceramic materials. The primary materials examined included various zirconium oxide series (3Y-TZP, 4Y-PSZ, 5Y-PSZ) and lithium disilicate glass ceramics. The research addressed a range of topics, including long-span fixed dentures (FDP), ceramic veneers, resin cements for bonding, crown band design, and occlusal veneers. The findings provided valuable insights into the clinical selection of resin cements and materials. Since its publication in May 2024, this special issue has garnered attention from 17,250 researchers and has been cited over 20 times in other scholarly articles, demonstrating its impact.
In light of this success, we are pleased to announce the launch of a new special issue titled "Fundamental Research and Application-Oriented Evaluations of Dental Ceramic Materials," in collaboration with Biomaterials (MDPI). This upcoming issue aims to feature academic articles, including in vitro studies, and systematic reviews. We warmly invite scholars to submit their contributions.
