10th Anniversary

The year 2025 marks the 10th anniversary of Magnetochemistry, a peer-reviewed open access journal dedicated to the field of magnetism across all branches of chemistry. With an impact factor of 2.6 and a CiteScore of 3.9, the journal is indexed in SCIE (Web of Science), Scopus, and other databases. Over the past decade, Magnetochemistry has published over 900 articles authored by more than 3,800 researchers, with contributions from over 2,000 reviewers. We greatly value the significant contributions of our editors, authors, and reviewers, whose efforts have been instrumental in advancing the journal.

In celebration of the journal’s 10th anniversary, we would like to take this opportunity to reflect on our accomplishments and look forward to an exciting new chapter. Journal History


The inaugural issue was released. Magnetochemistry was published as a quarterly journal.

The first issue of the Magnetochemistry was published on December 2015.

Prof. Dr. Carlos J. Gómez García was appointed as the Editor-in-Chief of the Magnetochemistry.

Magnetochemistry was indexed in Emerging Sources Citation Index (ESCI)—Web of Science (Clarivate Analytics).



Magnetochemistry announced the first edition of the Travel Award.

Magnetochemistry was indexed in Science Citation Index Expanded (SCIE)—Web of Science (Clarivate Analytics).



Magnetochemistry received its first Impact Factor (1.947).

Magnetochemistry was indexed in Scopus (Elsevier).



Magnetochemistry adopted a monthly publication schedule.

Magnetochemistry received its first CiteScore (2020) of 0.6.

Magnetochemistry announced the first edition of the Young Investigator Award, Best Paper Award, and Outstanding Reviewer Award.



Magnetochemistry published its 500th paper.

Magnetochemistry received its 2021 Impact Factor (3.336).

Magnetochemistry received its CiteScore (2021) of 3.0.

Magnetochemistry received its 2023 Impact Factor (2.6), ranked 20/44 (Q2) in "Chemistry, Inorganic & Nuclear".
