As Editor-in-Chief of Machines, I am pleased to announce the winners of the Machines Travel Awards for 2021.

The awards have been granted to Mr. Muhammad Jamil, Ph.D. student in the Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics (NUAA), China; and Ms. Mariagrazia Tristano, a Ph.D. student in the Sheffield Hallam University, UK.

We would like to thank all the applicants for submitting their diverse and fascinating range of research topics. All of your submissions were of notably high quality, making this evaluation process and final decision incredibly challenging.
