10th Anniversary
The year 2023 marks the 10th anniversary of Lubricants, a peer-reviewed open access journal of tribology. Lubricants has published more than 900 papers from more than 4000 authors. More than 2000 reviewers have submitted at least one review report. We value the contributions made by authors and reviewers. To celebrate this 10th anniversary, we are arranging a series of special content and events. We hope you can join us in celebrating this milestone for our journal and enjoy the collection below.

The inaugural issue was released. Lubricants was published as a quarterly journal.
Founding Editor-in-Chief: Prof. Dr. James E. Krzanowski
Prof. Dr. Homer Rahnejat was appointed as Editor-in-Chief for Lubricants.
Prof. Dr. Homer Rahnejat, University of Central Lancashire, has published more than 450 papers in academic journals and international conferences as well as a number of books and proceedings. Prof. Dr. Homer Rahnejat has more than 32 years of academic experience as well as 7 years of industrial experience. He has chaired a large number of international conferences and symposia, organised/sponsored by leading engineering and science institutions such as ASME, IMechE, IOP, SAE, JSAE, InstMC, ICivilE and others. He has also delivered many keynote speeches and invited presentations at many international events.
Lubricants was indexed in Emerging Sources Citation Index - Web of Science (Clarivate Analytics).
Lubricants was indexed in Scopus (Elsevier).
Lubricants started the Travel Awards project.

Lubricants 2024 Best Paper Award
In 2023, we are celebrating the 10th anniversary of our journal Lubricants. In recognition of our authors’ continued support, Lubricants is pleased to announce that the “Lubricants 2024 Best Paper Award” has been launched and will be granted to the best papers published in Lubricants from 1 January 2022 to 31 December 2022.
