Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
Sleep-disordered breathing and related disturbances represent a major health burden worldwide, with significant impact on cardiovascular, metabolic, cognitive, and quality-of-life outcomes. Otolaryngology plays a pivotal role in the diagnosis and management of these disorders, bridging advances in endoscopic evaluation, imaging, surgical innovation, and multidisciplinary approaches. This Special Issue aims to highlight the most recent advances in the field, from precision diagnostic strategies to innovative therapeutic interventions. Topics of interest include drug-induced sleep endoscopy (DISE) and novel diagnostic techniques, minimally invasive and robotic surgical procedures, medical device innovation (e.g., hypoglossal nerve stimulation, mandibular advancement devices), biomarker discovery, radiomics, artificial intelligence applications, and integrated care models.
The Special Issue will provide a platform for researchers and clinicians to share original research, clinical studies, systematic reviews, and state-of-the-art perspectives that will shape the future of otolaryngology and sleep medicine. Contributions are encouraged from experts in otolaryngology, sleep medicine, pulmonology, neurology, dentistry, radiology, and biomedical engineering, with the aim of fostering a multidisciplinary dialogue and advancing patient-centered care.

Manuscripts should be submitted online at www.mdpi.com by registering and logging in to this website. Once you are registered, click here to go to the submission form. Manuscripts can be submitted until the deadline. All submissions that pass pre-check are peer-reviewed. Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal (as soon as accepted) and will be listed together on the special issue website. Research articles, review articles as well as short communications are invited. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 250 words) can be sent to the Editorial Office for assessment.
Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process. A guide for authors and other relevant information for submission of manuscripts is available on the Instructions for Authors page. Life is an international peer-reviewed open access monthly journal published by MDPI.
