Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
Atrial fibrillation (AF) is the most common sustained cardiac arrhythmia, impacting approximately 6.1 million adults in the United States, with projections of a two-fold increase by 2030. The 2023 ACC/AHA/ACCP/HRS guidelines present a paradigm shift in AF management, moving from a duration-based classification to a more comprehensive, patient-centered approach, emphasizing early detection, comprehensive risk factor modification, and individualized management across the AF disease spectrum. This Special Issue, “Current Emerging Treatment Options in Atrial Fibrillation,” welcomes original research, review articles, systematic reviews, meta‑analyses, and clinical trials on advances in AF management, including but not limited to early rhythm control strategies, innovative ablation modalities, risk factor and lifestyle interventions, and emerging pharmacotherapies.
