Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
The surgical management of heart valve disease is undergoing a profound transformation driven by technological innovation and refined operative strategies. Advances in minimally invasive and robotic surgery, new-generation prosthetic valves, enhanced imaging guidance and hybrid operating environments are redefining standards of care.
This Special Issue aims to highlight cutting-edge developments in valve repair and replacement techniques, novel surgical tools and materials and the integration of transcatheter and surgical approaches within multidisciplinary heart teams. We welcome original research and review articles addressing technical innovation, patient selection and outcomes, to provide an updated perspective on the future of heart valve surgery.
