Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

Maternal–fetal medicine stands at the forefront of obstetrics, dedicated to optimizing outcomes for both mother and fetus during high-risk pregnancies. This specialized field continuously evolves, integrating advances in screening, diagnostics, and therapeutics to address complex pregnancy-related conditions.

This Special Issue highlights the latest advances in screening, diagnosis, management, prediction, and prevention of pregnancy complications, including hypertensive disorders, gestational diabetes, fetal growth abnormalities, preterm delivery, and preterm rupture of membranes, which affect a significant portion of pregnant women. Emphasizing both short- and long-term maternal and offspring health outcomes, the issue welcomes high-quality manuscripts that advance understanding and improve clinical care in this critical area.

We seek to illuminate not only the immediate clinical management of these complications but also their profound implications for long-term maternal cardiovascular, metabolic, and psychological health, as well as offspring development and disease risk across the lifespan. A deeper understanding of these connections is essential for developing effective lifecycle health strategies.

We invite submissions of high-quality original research articles and reviews by fostering a multidisciplinary dialogue. This Special Issue aims to advance scientific understanding of maternal–fetal medicine and translate these advances into tangible improvements in clinical care, ultimately contributing to healthier futures for mothers and their children.
