Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

Emergency surgery remains a dynamic and rapidly evolving field that encompasses a wide spectrum of conditions, from traumatic injuries to acute non-traumatic surgical emergencies. Advances in diagnostic techniques, surgical technology, and multidisciplinary care have significantly improved outcomes, yet many challenges persist, particularly in the timely identification and management of life-threatening conditions.

This Special Issue aims to provide an updated overview of clinical practices, innovations, and controversies in emergency surgery. We invite original research articles and reviews focusing on trauma management, acute abdominal emergencies, surgical decision making in patients who are critically ill, perioperative care strategies, and medico-legal aspects related to emergency interventions.

By fostering a deeper understanding of current trends and emerging approaches, this Special Issue seeks to promote evidence-based practices and interdisciplinary collaboration in the emergency setting.

We look forward to your valuable contributions.

Dr. Bruno Cirillo
Guest Editor

Manuscripts should be submitted online at www.mdpi.com by registering and logging in to this website. Once you are registered, click here to go to the submission form. Manuscripts can be submitted until the deadline. All submissions that pass pre-check are peer-reviewed.
