Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

It is our great pleasure to invite you to contribute to this Special Issue, entitled "Joint Repair and Replacement: Current Challenges and Opportunities", to be published in the Journal of Clinical Medicine. This Special Issue aims to provide a comprehensive overview of the latest advances in soft tissue management and joint arthroplasty, with a focus on innovative techniques, implant technology, and long-term clinical outcomes.

The treatment of soft tissue injuries and joint replacement surgeries continues to evolve, driven by advancements in surgical techniques, biomaterials, and rehabilitation protocols. Ensuring optimal patient outcomes requires a multidisciplinary approach integrating orthopedic surgery, biomechanics, sports medicine, and rehabilitation science. In this Special Issue, we seek original research articles, reviews, and metanalysis addressing key topics including, but not limited to, the following:

  • Advances in soft tissue preservation and repair techniques;
  • Clinical biomechanics of joint function and implant performance;
  • Advances in prosthetic design and biomaterials for clinical applications;
  • Perioperative management and rehabilitation strategies;
  • Long-term outcomes and complications of joint arthroplasty;
  • The role of imaging and AI-assisted diagnostics in joint reconstruction.

By bringing together contributions from leading experts, we aim to provide a valuable resource for clinicians and researchers dedicated to improving patient care in orthopedic surgery.

We look forward to receiving your valuable contributions and thank you in advance for your participation.
