Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

In recent decades, trauma and emergency surgery have seen remarkable advancements driven by scientific research and clinical innovation. Our scientific understanding of injury patterns, surgical techniques, and the complex needs of our patients following major trauma continues to evolve.

Given the broad spectrum of cases in trauma and emergency surgery, there is an increasing need for interdisciplinary treatment strategies. Certain patient groups, such as the elderly, polytraumatized, or those with comorbidities, require individualized treatment plans.

This Special Issue focuses on the latest treatment strategies in trauma and emergency surgery aiming to provide a selection of current scientific and surgical recommendations for clinical practice. Therefore, researchers in this field are encouraged to submit an original article or review to this Special Issue.
