Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
Arterial stiffness, which is the hardening of arteries, is a key risk factor for cardiovascular disease (CVD). Research has shown that arterial stiffness leads to conditions such as hypertension, atherosclerosis, and stroke. Various factors, such as aging, high blood pressure, diabetes, and obesity, can lead to the development of arterial stiffness. Moreover, it is also associated with kidney disease, cognitive decline, and overall mortality.
The Special Issue aims to provide an opportunity to explore and better understand the mechanisms that link arterial stiffness and CVD, and to develop more effective preventive and therapeutic strategies. We invite scholars in the field to share their findings and submit their reviews or research articles to this Special Issue.
