Journal of Clinical Medicine | 2025 Editorial Board Meeting of the “Orthopedics” Section Held on 24 June 2025

Journal of Clinical Medicine
 (JCM, ISSN: 2077-0383) held its Editorial Board meeting for the Section “Orthopedics”, which was hosted by the Section Editor-in-Chief, Dr. Nicholas David Clement. Four Editorial Board Members were in attendance on 24 June 2025. We sincerely hope that more Members can join future meetings. We would like to invite you to review the contents of the meeting.

The meeting started with a presentation about the development of the journal, as well as the Section “Orthopedics” in particular, and the following information was presented:

  • Journal history and open access policy;
  • Publication statistics and authors group analysis (2018–2024);
  • Journal awards, conference sponsorship, and journal social media management;
  • Section development statistics, decision-making statistics, active Members, and the Section’s highly cited papers.

The following topics were covered in the discussion at this Editorial Board meeting:

  • Members recognized the growth of the orthopedics section and agreed to continue strengthening cooperation with authoritative authors, focusing on publishing high-quality papers, and striving to build the journal into a high-level platform for enhancing professional expertise;
  • We need to continue taking measures to mobilize academic resources and expand the influence of the journal. We will collaborate with scientific associations and professional societies to accurately meet the needs of doctors and researchers. We will pay close attention to the discussions at important international orthopedic conferences and provide a publishing platform for high-quality seminar results, enabling the latest clinical experiences and research developments to be disseminated more quickly;
  • Focusing on hot topics from international conferences, we will create Special Issues on related themes. Each Special Issue should have a clearer focus, and members should provide practical suggestions for soliciting high-quality manuscripts;
  • Strengthening the development of the member team, increasing members' participation, and calling on more members to participate in daily journal activities.
