Dear Colleagues,
The nucleus is increasingly recognized as a key mechanosensitive organelle that integrates physical and biochemical signals to regulate cell behavior.
The nuclear envelope (NE), including lamins, LINC complexes, and nuclear pore complexes (NPCs), plays a central role in transmitting mechanical forces, organizing chromatin, and controlling gene expression.
Recent studies have revealed that alterations in nuclear mechanics and nuclear envelope dynamics are closely linked to cancer progression, metastasis, and genome instability.
These findings underscore the importance of understanding how mechanical cues are sensed, transmitted, and interpreted at the nuclear level.
This Special Issue aims to provide an up-to-date overview of nuclear mechanotransduction and nuclear envelope dynamics, with a particular focus on cancer biology.
We welcome contributions from diverse disciplines, including molecular biology, biophysics, genomics, and translational research.
This Special Issue seeks to create a platform for cutting-edge research and foster new mechanistic insights into how nuclear mechanotransduction and envelope dynamics drive cancer progression and metastasis.
