Model-Based Design for Developing Power Electronics Systems

Dear Colleagues,

Power electronics engineers have implemented digital control using model-based design for developing power electronics systems. Model-based design provides a mathematical and visual approach to implementing digital control for embedded control systems. It reduces development time and costs, enabling faster time to first demonstration, faster time to market with a high-quality product, and an expanded capacity for developing complex systems.

The purpose of this Special Issue is to encourage research of power electronics solutions with model-based design. This Special Issue welcomes the submission of manuscripts for the following topics of interest:

• Model-based design of mathematical and visual approach for power electronics.
• Methodologies of design workflow for power electronics converters and controls.
• Implementation of power electronics controls on embedded digital processors.
• Model verification using real-time simulation with hardware in the loop (HIL).
• Reduction method of development time and costs for medium voltage drives and power protection products (industrial motor drives and uninterruptible power supplies).

All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process. Electronics is an international peer-reviewed open access semimonthly journal published by MDPI.
