Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
Advanced control and optimal decision-making methods represented by predictive control have been widely promoted and applied in fields such as industrial production, intelligent vehicles and aerospace. However, with the rapid social development and technological progress, especially the rapid development of big data and artificial intelligence technologies in recent years, profound impacts have been exerted on our production modes, lifestyles and technological forms. This is both an opportunity and a challenge for predictive control and intelligent decision-making technologies.
Focusing on the new problems brought about by new technologies and new scenarios, this Special Issue compiles the latest research results of relevant theories and applications from multiple perspectives, such as perception, control and decision optimization. It explores the possible development directions and trends of predictive control and intelligent decision-making technologies to meet new demands. This Special Issue solicits research on various advanced theories, methods and technologies related to predictive control and intelligent decision-making, as well as application achievements in various engineering fields. The themes of this Special Issue include, but are not limited to:
- Cutting-edge theories and synthesis of predictive control for nonlinear systems;
- Design and analysis methods of predictive control for uncertain systems;
- Predictive control methods for large-scale complex systems;
- Application and implementation technologies of predictive control in industry;
- Application of predictive control in aerospace;
- Application of predictive control in the automotive field;
- Popularization and application of predictive control principles;
- Resilient predictive control theories and methods;
- Application of artificial intelligence technologies in predictive control;
- Scheduling optimization and intelligent decision-making;
- Artificial intelligence decision-making methods and their applications.

Manuscript Submission Information
Manuscripts should be submitted online at www.mdpi.com by registering and logging in to this website. Once you are registered, click here to go to the submission form. Manuscripts can be submitted until the deadline. All submissions that pass pre-check are peer-reviewed. Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal (as soon as accepted) and will be listed together on the special issue website. Research articles, review articles as well as short communications are invited. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 250 words) can be sent to the Editorial Office for assessment.
Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process. A guide for authors and other relevant information for submission of manuscripts is available on the Instructions for Authors page. Electronics is an international peer-reviewed open access semimonthly journal published by MDPI.
Please visit the Instructions for Authors page before submitting a manuscript. The Article Processing Charge (APC) for publication in this open access journal is 2400 CHF (Swiss Francs). Submitted papers should be well formatted and use good English. Authors may use MDPI's English editing service prior to publication or during author revisions.
