Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
The rapid evolution of digital technologies and the global shift toward online learning models, accelerated by the COVID-19 pandemic, have fundamentally transformed educational practices all over the world. While online teaching and learning offer flexibility and accessibility, they also present unprecedented challenges, including digital inequity, engagement barriers, pedagogical adaptation, and assessment integrity. Addressing these issues is critical to ensuring equitable, effective, and sustainable education in the post-pandemic age.
This Special Issue aims to explore emerging challenges in online teaching and learning, fostering interdisciplinary dialogue on innovative approaches, tools, and suggestions to enhance digital education. It seeks contributions that address theoretical frameworks, empirical studies, and practical solutions across K-12, higher education, and lifelong learning contexts. Submissions may focus on themes such as the following:
- Technology Integration: AI-driven tools, VR/AR applications, and adaptive learning systems.
- Pedagogical Innovation: Strategies for fostering engagement, collaboration, and inclusivity.
- Teacher Professional Development: Competencies for designing and delivering online instruction.
- Equity and Access: Bridging digital divides and addressing socio-cultural barriers.
- Assessment and Quality Assurance: Authentic evaluation methods and academic integrity in virtual settings.
By highlighting diverse perspectives, this issue aims to inform educators, policymakers, and technologists in shaping resilient and learner-centered digital education ecosystems.
