Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

The Intensive Care Unit (ICU) demands rapid, precise decision-making to optimize outcomes for critically ill patients. This Special Issue, “Clinical Diagnostics and Management in the ICU,” explores the latest advancements bridging cutting-edge diagnostic tools with tailored therapeutic strategies.

We invite original research and comprehensive reviews focusing on, but not limited to, the following:

  • Novel Biomarkers: Early detection of sepsis, acute kidney injury (AKI), and multi-organ failure;
  • Imaging Innovations: Point-of-Care Ultrasound (POCUS) and bedside functional imaging;
  • Advanced Monitoring: AI-driven predictive models and dynamic hemodynamic assessments;
  • Targeted Management: Evidence-based approaches to mechanical ventilation and targeted resuscitation.

By highlighting the transition to real-time, precision medicine, this collection aims to provide clinicians with actionable insights to reduce ICU mortality and enhance patient care.
