Deposition of Two Dimensional Materials: Methods, Calibration and Applications

Dear Colleagues,

Since the discovery of graphene, two-dimensional (2D) layered materials have attracted tremendous research interest. Their extraordinary properties have expedited the discovery of novel phenomena, the development of advanced devices, and the exploration of key applications. Nevertheless, the deposition of 2D materials onto any designated substrate remains challenging, especially when high quality and large areas are required. This Special Issue of Coatings, entitled “Deposition of Two-Dimensional Materials: Methods, Calibration and Applications,” aims to cover original research and critical review articles on recent advances in all aspects of 2D material deposition.

In particular, the topics of interests include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Physical and chemical deposition of 2D materials;
• Characterization of 2D materials;
• Transfer of large-area 2D materials;
• Applications of 2D materials.

Research articles, review articles as well as short communications are invited. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 250 words) can be sent to the Editorial Office for assessment.

Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process.
