Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
In recent years, digital health has significantly transformed the delivery of healthcare services, including pediatric dental care. Tools such as teledentistry, mobile health applications, and remote monitoring systems have improved access to care—particularly for vulnerable populations and patients with limited access to traditional dental services—while also showing significant potential to enhance prevention, enable early intervention, and support continuity of care. Concurrently, the implementation of these technologies is increasingly influenced by national and international regulatory frameworks and health policies.
This Special Issue aims to explore the implementation of digital technologies in pediatric dentistry, with a focus on prevention, early diagnosis, patient education, and the management of children with special healthcare needs. Additionally, it seeks to address the policies governing their use, including comparative perspectives across different countries.
We welcome submissions of original research articles, systematic reviews, meta-analyses, and scoping reviews, as well as implementation and methodological studies addressing innovative digital solutions, their effectiveness, and their integration into public health systems.
