Cells constantly navigate a complex environment where biochemical signals and mechanical forces converge to shape their fate, function, and plasticity. This Special Issue, “From Signals to Shape: Molecular Control of Cellular Plasticity Through Epigenetic, Transcriptomic, and Immune Mechanisms”, aims to illuminate the intricate molecular networks that govern how cells perceive, integrate, and respond to diverse stimuli. We invite cutting-edge research exploring the epigenetic, transcriptomic, and immune-mediated mechanisms underlying cellular plasticity across various contexts—ranging from development and regeneration to disease and aging.
Emphasis is placed on understanding how biochemical cues and biomechanical forces influence cellular behavior, identity, and interactions within their microenvironment. Contributions employing advanced molecular and omics technologies, innovative imaging, and interdisciplinary approaches are highly encouraged. By bridging experimental cytology with translational insights, this Special Issue seeks to foster novel perspectives on how cells adapt at multiple biological scales, providing foundational knowledge with potential therapeutic implications.

All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process.
