Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

The rationale of the “Endometrial Cancer Therapy: Foundations and Future Directions” Special Issue of Cancers is the rapid evolution of treatment approaches to endometrial cancer over the last 10 years. The incidence of this cancer is increasing due to higher life expectancy, particularly in high-income countries, and its link to obesity. The new information obtained in the different multidisciplinary fields of treatment has led to great developments in treatment, with the main advances being achieved in the areas of pathology, in which the new molecular classification has led to different staging and distinct treatment choices. Changes have also appeared in surgery, radiotherapy, chemotherapy and new agents involving immunotherapy. Aspects related to patient survival, treatment toxicity, and the quality of life should be strongly considered currently. This issue aims to present the current status of the different treatments available and thereby determine future directions in the treatment of endometrial cancer. We encourage authors to submit high-quality reviews and original articles to enhance our knowledge of the present and future of the most common gynecological cancer. We look forward to receiving your contributions.
