Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
It is my pleasure to invite you to publish an article in a Special Issue of Businesses concerning entrepreneurship in sports organizations, the tourism industry, and public sector entities. Taking up the issue of entrepreneurship in the functioning of the first two groups of entities seems obvious. The entrepreneurship criteria also apply to public entities, including territorial self-government units and entities cooperating with them. Non-governmental organizations, whose activities support these sectors, also play an important role in sport and tourism. The subject of the Special Issue covers the issues of managing sports, tourism and public sector entities, including in particular starting a business, cooperation and competitiveness, resources, financing activities, development and innovation, business planning, entrepreneurial behavior, determinants of the functioning of economic entities, and public policy aimed at entrepreneurs. In detail, the issues of entrepreneurship are analyzed in relation to the types of entities undertaking business activity, including entrepreneurship in the SME sector, family entrepreneurship, women’s entrepreneurship, academic entrepreneurship, and migrants. Social entrepreneurship plays a special role in the title of the Special Issue. The topics of the articles cover the issues of entrepreneurship in crisis conditions related to the COVID-19 pandemic, the international political situation, and internal and external threats and conflicts.
