Selected Papers from the 1st International Online Conference on Buildings (IOCBD2023)

Dear Colleagues, 

This Special Issue will comprise selected papers from The 1st International Online Conference on Buildings—Advances in Building Planning, Design, Construction, and Operation (IOCBD2023). The event was held from 24–26 Oct 2023 and served as an online platform for hosting scholarly online conferences and discussion groups (https://iocbd2023.sciforum.net/). 

IOCBD2023 presented the latest studies in building structures, materials, repair/renovation, energy, environment, systems, architecture, urban planning, and construction management fields. The goal was to create an advanced forum for new development, challenges, and opportunities in all building-related issues. 

The main topics of this conference covered:

3. Building repair and renovation;
4. Energy consumption in building construction and operation;
5. The environmental impacts of buildings;
6. Buildings’ physics and building systems;
7. Architecture and building design;
8. Tall and super tall buildings;

Manuscript Submission Information

Manuscripts should be submitted online at www.mdpi.com by registering and logging in to this website. Once you are registered, click here to go to the submission form. Manuscripts can be submitted until the deadline. All submissions that pass pre-check are peer-reviewed. Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal (as soon as accepted) and will be listed together on the special issue website. Research articles, review articles as well as short communications are invited. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 100 words) can be sent to the Editorial Office for announcement on this website.

Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process. Buildings is an international peer-reviewed open access monthly journal published by MDPI.
