Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
This Special Issue aims to present and disseminate the most recent advances in sensors for health detection, with particular emphasis on innovative sensing principles, materials, devices, analytical strategies, and healthcare applications. We invite contributions addressing the design, fabrication, characterization, and application of advanced biosensors and sensing systems for the detection and monitoring of clinically relevant biomarkers, biological molecules, pathogens, and physiological or biochemical signals. Studies demonstrating improved analytical performance, real-time or continuous monitoring, point-of-care detection, wearable or implantable sensing, and potential clinical translation are particularly encouraged.
Topics of interest for publication include, but are not limited to:
- Electrochemical, optical, colorimetric and other biosensing technologies for health detection
- Nanomaterial-, nanostructure-, and functional-material-enabled biosensors
- Wearable, flexible, implantable, and minimally invasive sensors for health monitoring
- Point-of-care, microfluidic, and lab-on-a-chip sensing platforms
- Integration of biosensors with artificial intelligence, machine learning, and digital health technologies

Manuscript Submission Information
Manuscripts should be submitted online at www.mdpi.com by registering and logging in to this website. Once you are registered, click here to go to the submission form. Manuscripts can be submitted until the deadline. All submissions that pass pre-check are peer-reviewed. Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal (as soon as accepted) and will be listed together on the special issue website. Research articles, review articles as well as short communications are invited. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 250 words) can be sent to the Editorial Office for assessment.
Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-anonymized peer-review process. Biosensors is an international peer-reviewed open access monthly journal published by MDPI.

Submitted papers should be well formatted and use good English. Authors may use MDPI's English editing service prior to publication or during author revisions.
