The Section Molecular Biomarkers of the open access journal Biomolecules (ISSN 2218-273X) publishes papers in all areas related to molecular biomarker research. This includes the identification, validation, and application of biomarkers in innovative diagnostic procedures, drug discovery/development and diseases pathogenesis.

We invite review and original research articles that include but are not limited to the following topics:

Predictive biomarkers;
Diagnostic biomarkers;
Prognostic biomarkers;
Pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic biomarkers;
Optimum biomarker selection and validation;
Biomarker development in omics;
Biomarker development in molecular medicine
