Smart and Precision Agriculture

Dear Colleagues,

We are pleased to announce a Special Issue of Applied System Innovation, titled “Smart and Precision Agriculture”.

Modern agriculture is facing a significant structural change. The steady development of IoT (Internet of Things) technologies in agricultural engineering, the wide application of mechanization and automation technology in agricultural production, and the continuous enhancement of information processing and fusion technology are leading to a new era in the field of smart and precision agriculture.

On the other hand, with the increasingly prominent problems of land resources, population, and environment, how to make the agricultural production process efficient, precise, intelligent, and environmentally friendly has become an urgent problem to be solved in today's agriculture. To solve the above problem, this Special Issue will focus on potential means, such as IoT technologies, agricultural robotics, crop model, expert system, etc.

In particular, the topics of interest include, but are not limited to:

• Agricultural robotics and intelligence system;
• Agricultural sensor and sensing technology;
• Crop model and yield estimation;
• Precision fertilization technology;
• Agricultural traceability system;
• Smart breeding.

Manuscript Submission Information

Manuscripts should be submitted online at www.mdpi.com by registering and logging in to this website. Once you are registered, click here to go to the submission form. Manuscripts can be submitted until the deadline. All submissions that pass pre-check are peer-reviewed. Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal (as soon as accepted) and will be listed together on the special issue website. Research articles, review articles as well as short communications are invited. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 100 words) can be sent to the Editorial Office for announcement on this website.

Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process. Applied System Innovation is an international peer-reviewed open access semimonthly journal published by MDPI.
