Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

The traditional facility agriculture model is not enough to meet the needs of the new era in production efficiency, resource utilization and sustainability. At the same time, a new generation of information technologies, such as artificial intelligence, the Internet of Things, sensors, big data and robots, are accelerating the integration with the agricultural field, providing core technical support for the intelligent upgrading of facility agriculture. Based on the above, we initiated a Special Issue in Agronomy on “Advances in Intelligent Agricultural Facilities, Equipment and Technologies for Sustainable Crop Production”, which will focus on:

  1. Intelligent facility agricultural equipment;
  2. Facility crop phenotyping/environmental information detection technology;
  3. Technology for detection and early warning of crop pests and diseases in facilities.

The overall aim of this special issue is to promote the transformation of facility agriculture towards precision, efficiency and sustainability, and to help solve the problem of sustainable crop production.

Research articles, review articles as well as short communications are invited.
