Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
Soil pollution is everywhere and poses a serious threat to human and ecological health. Growing population pressure on natural resources beyond the recycling capacity of soil is creating soil pollution. Different organic and inorganic pollutants are being dumped on healthy soil/water bodies and reaching the human body via food chain contamination, which causes different carcinogenic effects such as organ failure, immunity system suppression, endocrine hormone imbalance, and reproductive system failure.
The goal of this Special Issue is to address soil water pollution and probable tools and techniques to minimize pollutants in the food chain. The use of traditional and modern tools and techniques for combating soil pollution is encouraged, with the goal to spread awareness among different agencies to identify pollutant toxicity prior to disposal. The ultimate goal is healthy soil, which will produce healthy crop yield and provide better ecoservices for human welfare. Manuscripts related to soil and water pollution, heavy metal, remediation and immobilization, etc. are invited.
