Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
Digital technologies, artificial intelligence and social media platforms are increasingly changing the way in which work is completed, especially in technical fields such as science, technology, engineering and even mathematics as a precise science (STEM). Employees in these fields are increasingly looking for a flexible, innovative and digitally supported work environment. In this context, both public and private institutions are being forced to adapt their management strategies and rethink the way they organize their teams, motivate employees and manage human resources. In today's digital knowledge society, AI and technology are powerfully transforming the workplace, changing employee preferences, job satisfaction and how to retain highly skilled professionals.
Both public and private sector organizations are facing these various challenges and opportunities induced by digitization, and are always looking for new solutions to adapt to market demands and disruptions. While the private sector has all the necessary levers to retain and/or attract valuable STEM professionals with digital skills, being able to communicate and create exciting work environments for young people, i.e., to transform the workplace into a third place characterized by socialization, empathy and collegiality, would enhance the work performance of employees.
Special Issue welcomes the submission of original research articles and reviews that aim to highlight the transformations promoted by digital technologies, artificial intelligence, social media and other developments in organizations. The scope of this Special Issue includes, but is not limited to, the following topics:
- Enhancing human capital in the digital age in public and private organizations.
- Neuroleadership-induced transformations in companies and organizations.
- Innovative approaches for attracting and retaining digitally competent professionals.
- The impact of emerging technologies on employee well-being
- Analysis of employer branding strategies in the context of technological innovation in the organization of the future.
- Self-enhanced employee selection under the confluence and influence of algorithmic efficiency and ethical implications.
- Legal challenges in the context of contemporary digital workplace transformation.
- Work-life balance in AI-assisted organizations.
- Impact of marketing and/or branding strategies on transparency and citizen engagement in knowledge.
- Implementation of digital marketing strategies in public administration versus organizations.

- Artificial intelligence in human resources management.
- Running recruitment processes with artificial intelligence: advantages, challenges and prospects.
- Adaptive leadership and organizational transformation in the digital age.
