A Feature Paper should be a substantial original Article that involves several techniques or approaches, provides an outlook for future research directions and describes possible research applications.
Feature papers are submitted upon individual invitation or recommendation by the scientific editors and must receive positive feedback from the reviewers.
Editor’s Choice articles are based on recommendations by the scientific editors of MDPI journals from around the world. Editors select a small number of articles recently published in the journal that they believe will be particularly interesting to readers, or important in the respective research area. The aim is to provide a snapshot of some of the most exciting work published in the various research areas of the journal.

Date: 20–23 April 2023
Location: Long Beach, CA, USA
MDPI will be attending American Physiological Summit as an exhibitor, and we welcome researchers from different backgrounds to visit and share their latest ideas with us.
This conference is organized by the American Physiological Society (APS). Opening with a keynote address given by a Nobel Laureate, the lineup features 8 game-changers and 80 foundational science sessions hand selected by APS members representing the Society’s sections and interest groups. This meeting is designed by and for physiologists, and it provides a good space for attendees to spark inspiration and evoke collaboration.
The following MDPI journals will be represented:
International Journal of Molecular Sciences (IJMS, ISSN: 1422-0067, IF: 6.028) covers fundamental theoretical problems of broad interest in biology, chemistry, and medicine; breakthrough experimental technical progress of broad interest in biology, chemistry, and medicine; and application of the theories and novel technologies to specific experimental studies and calculations.
Cells (ISSN: 2073-4409, IF: 7.666) mainly focuses on cell anatomy and physiology, the structure and function of organelles, cell adhesion and motility, and the regulation of intracellular signaling, growth, differentiation, and aging.
