The first edition of the International Conference on Trends and Innovations in Smart Technologies (ICTIST’22) was held on 7–8 October 2022, bringing together researchers and experts from the fields of communication networks and security, computational intelligence, and engineering. The conference provided a platform for participants to share their research and discuss the latest trends and innovations in these areas. The present report will start by providing an overview on the keynote speeches and the main axes around which the communication sessions revolved before moving on to more detailed abstracts, presenting each of the topics presented during the ICTIST’22 conference.
