Cover Story: Defining the arrival times of a quantum particle is an old source of debate and conflict. Here, we show that de Broglie Bohm's quantum interpretation completely clarifies the situation and eliminates all the paradoxes recently discussed in the literature, in particular, those concerning the possibility of superluminal communication (in relation with Bell’s theorem). Following Einstein, we show that it is theory that indeed decides what is measurable and what is not. View this paper

The large dimensions of the 1000 MW hydroelectric generator sets require high mounting accuracy. Small deviations can lead to asymmetry, which in turn triggers unbalanced magnetic pulls and moments. Therefore, symmetry is a central challenge in the i...

A New Fractional Curvature of Curves and Surfaces in Euclidean Space Using the Caputo’s Fractional Derivative

  • Franco Rubio-López,

  • Ronald León,
  • Alexis Rodriguez and
  • Daniel Chucchucan

11 October 2024

In this paper, the authors generalize the fractional curvature of plane curves introduced by Rubio et al. in 2023, to regular curves in the Euclidean space R3, and study the geometric properties of the curve using Caputo’s fractional derivative...

Inspired by prior research on fractional calculus, we introduce new fractional integral and derivative operators: the (ρ1,ρ2,k1,k2,φ)-proportional integral and the (ρ1,ρ2,k1,k2,φ)-proportional Hilfer fractional derivative. Num...

A time-lock puzzle encapsulates a secret message such that the receiver needs to perform a sequential computation, which takes a specified amount of time, to recover the message. Time-lock puzzles can be used in various scenarios, such as sealed-bid...
