In the digital era, secure data sharing has become a core requirement for enabling cross-domain collaboration, cloud computing, and Internet of Things (IoT) applications, as well as a critical measure for safeguarding privacy and defending against malicious attacks. In light of the risks of data leakage and misuse in open environments, achieving efficient, controllable, and privacy-preserving data sharing has emerged as a key research focus. This paper first provides a systematic review of the prevailing secure data sharing technologies, including proxy re-encryption, searchable encryption, key agreement and distribution, and attribute-based encryption, summarizing their design principles and application features. Subsequently, game-theoretic modeling based on incentive theory is introduced to construct a strategic interaction framework between data owners and data users, aiming to analyze and optimize benefit allocation mechanisms. Furthermore, the paper explores the integration of game theory with secure sharing mechanisms to enhance the sustainability and stability of the data sharing ecosystem. Finally, it outlines the critical challenges currently faced in secure data sharing and discusses future research directions, offering theoretical insights and technical references for building a more comprehensive data sharing framework. As key components of the climate system, clouds exert a significant influence on the Earth’s radiation budget and hydrological cycle. However, studies focusing on cloud properties over Central Asia are still limited, and the impacts of cloud variability on regional temperature and precipitation remain poorly understood. This study uses reanalysis and multi-source remote sensing datasets to investigate the spatiotemporal characteristics of clouds and their influence on regional climate. The cloud cover increases from the southwest to the northeast, with mid and low-level clouds predominating in high-altitude regions. All clouds have shown a declining trend during 1981–2020. According to satellite data, the sharpest decline in total cloud cover occurs in summer, while reanalysis data show a more significant reduction in spring. In addition, cloud cover changes influence the local climate through radiative forcing mechanisms. Specifically, the weakening of shortwave reflective cooling and the enhancement of longwave heating of clouds collectively exacerbate surface warming. Meanwhile, precipitation is positively correlated with cloud cover, and its spatial distribution aligns with the cloud water path. The cloud phase composition in Central Asia is dominated by liquid water, accounting for over 40%, a microphysical characteristic that further impacts the regional hydrological cycle. Full article

Background: Renal cell carcinoma (RCC) is a common malignancy with a rising global incidence. While cytoreductive nephrectomy (CRN) was historically a cornerstone in the management of metastatic RCC (mRCC), its role has been questioned following pivotal trials such as CARMENA and SURTIME. With the advent of immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs) and targeted therapies, the contemporary relevance of CRN coupled with first-line immunotherapy and targeted therapy combination regimens warrants re-evaluation. Methods: This retrospective cohort study utilized the TriNetX research network to identify patients aged 18–90 years diagnosed with mRCC between 2005 and 2024 who received first-line systemic therapies. Patients were stratified into two cohorts based on receipt of CRN status within one year of diagnosis. Propensity score matching (1:1) was done to adjust baseline characteristics. Kaplan–Meier survival analysis and Cox proportional hazards modeling were used to compare five-year overall survival between the groups. Results: Among 5960 eligible patients, 1776 (888 CRN matched to 888 who did not) formed the cohort of analysis. The CRN group demonstrated significantly higher five-year survival (57.7% vs. 45.0%, p < 0.0001) with a hazard ratio of 1.56 (95% CI: 1.33–1.83). Subgroup analyses showed consistent survival benefits across all four NCCN-recommended first-line regimens—Axitinib + Pembrolizumab: 64.0% (CRN) vs. 53.3% (no CRN), p = 0.01; Cabozantinib + Nivolumab: 50.1% vs. 40.4%, p = 0.004; Lenvatinib + Pembrolizumab: 37.4% vs. 22.8%, p = 0.012; Nivolumab + Ipilimumab: 56.4% vs. 46.1%, p = 0.005. Conclusions: In the era of modern immunotherapy and targeted agents, CRN remains associated with improved survival in patients with mRCC receiving NCCN-recommended first-line regimens. These findings support the continued evaluation of CRN as a component of multimodal therapy, particularly in patients with favorable risk profiles. Full article

This article provides a critical review of the current design and research challenges in contemporary timber architecture. Conducted from the perspective of a designer-researcher, the review focuses on the role of wood as a material at the intersection of environmental performance, cultural meaning, and spatial practice. The study adopts a conceptual, problem-oriented approach, eschewing the conventional systematic aggregation of existing data. The objective of this study is to identify, interpret and categorise the key issues that are shaping the evolving discourse on timber architecture. The analysis is based on peer-reviewed literature published between 2020 and 2025, sourced from the Scopus and Web of Science Core Collection databases. Fifteen thematic challenges have been identified and classified according to their recognition level in academic and design contexts. The subjects under discussion include well-established topics, such as life cycle assessment and carbon storage, as well as less commonly explored areas, such as symbolic durability, social acceptance, traceability, and the upcycling of low-grade wood. The review under consideration places significant emphasis on the importance of integrating technical, cultural, and perceptual dimensions when evaluating timber architecture. The article proposes an interpretive framework combining design thinking and transdisciplinary insights. This framework aims to bridge disciplinary gaps and provide a coherent structure for understanding the complexity of timber-related challenges. The framework under discussion here encourages a broader understanding of wood as not only a sustainable building material but also a vehicle for systemic transformation in architectural culture and practice. The study’s insights may support designers, educators, and policymakers in identifying strategic priorities for the development of future-proof timber-based design practices. Full article

Background: HIV-associated neurocognitive disorders (HANDs) continue to be a significant concern, despite the advancements in prognosis achieved through Combination Antiretroviral Therapy (cART). Neuropsychological assessment, recommended by international guidelines for HANDs diagnosis, can be resource-intensive. Brief screening tools, like the International HIV Dementia Scale (IHDS) and the Montreal Cognitive Assessment (MoCA), are crucial in facilitating initial evaluations. This study aims to assess the Italian IHDS (IHDS-IT) and evaluate its sensitivity and specificity in detecting cognitive impairment in HIV patients. Methods: This cross-sectional study involved 294 patients aged ≥30 years, evaluated at the Immunology Unit of the University of Cagliari. Cognitive function was assessed using the MoCA and IHDS. Laboratory parameters, such as CD4 nadir, current CD4 count, and HIV-RNA levels, were also collected. Statistical analyses included Spearman’s correlation, Receiver Operating Characteristic analysis, and the Youden J statistic to identify the optimal IHDS-IT cut-off for cognitive impairment detection. Results: The IHDS and MoCA scores showed a moderate positive correlation (Spearman’s rho = 0.411, p < 0.0001). ROC analysis identified an IHDS-IT cut-off of ≤9, yielding an Area Under the Curve (AUC) of 0.76, sensitivity of 71.7%, and specificity of 67.2%. At this threshold, 73.1% of patients with MoCA scores below 23 also presented abnormal IHDS scores, highlighting the complementary utility of both cognitive assessment instruments. Conclusions: The IHDS-IT exhibited fair diagnostic accuracy for intercepting cognitive impairment, with a lower optimal cut-off than previously reported. The observed differences may reflect this study cohort’s demographic and clinical characteristics, including advanced age and long-lasting HIV infection. Further, longitudinal studies are necessary to validate these findings and to confirm the proposed IHDS cut-off over extended periods. Full article

In the era of Industry 5.0, future wireless networks are increasingly shifting from traditional symmetric architectures toward heterogeneous and asymmetric paradigms, driven by the demand for diversified and dynamic services. This architectural evolution gives rise to complex and asymmetric flows, such as the coexistence of periodic and burst flows with varying latency, jitter, and deadline constraints, posing new challenges for deterministic transmission. Traditional time-sensitive networking (TSN) is well-suited for periodic flows but lacks the flexibility to effectively handle dynamic, asymmetric traffi. To address this limitation, we propose a two-stage asymmetric flow scheduling framework with dynamic deadline control, termed A-TSN. In the first stage, we design a Deep Q-Network-based Dynamic Injection Time Slot algorithm (DQN-DITS) to optimize slot allocation for periodic flows under varying network loads. In the second stage, we introduce the Dynamic Deadline Online (DDO) scheduling algorithm, which enables real-time scheduling for asymmetric flows while satisfying flow deadlines and capacity constraints. Simulation results demonstrate that our approach significantly reduces end-to-end latency, improves scheduling efficiency, and enhances adaptability to high-volume asymmetric traffic, offering a scalable solution for future deterministic wireless networks. As artificial intelligence (AI) becomes increasingly embedded in organizational development, understanding how leadership shapes employee responses to AI is critical for fostering workplace innovation. Drawing on trait activation theory, this study develops a theoretical model in which employee AI trust enhances innovative performance through AI crafting. Paternalistic leadership serves as a situational moderator, while the leader’s AI opportunity perception functions as a higher-order moderator. A three-wave survey was conducted with 523 employees from 14 AI-intensive manufacturing firms in China. Results show that the interaction between AI trust and paternalistic leadership positively predicts both AI crafting and innovative performance. In addition, AI crafting mediates the effect of the interaction term on innovative performance. Furthermore, the leader’s AI opportunity perception moderates this interactive effect: when this perception is high, the positive impact of AI trust and paternalistic leadership on AI crafting is significantly stronger; when it is low, the effect weakens. These findings contribute to the literature by clarifying the situational and cognitive conditions under which AI trust promotes innovation, thereby extending trait activation theory to AI-enabled workplaces and offering actionable insights for leadership development in the intelligent era. With the advent of the big data era, multi-view clustering (MVC) methods have attracted considerable acclaim due to their capability in handling the multifaceted nature of data, which achieves impressive results across various fields. However, two significant challenges persist in MVC methods: (1) They resort to learning view-invariant information of samples to bridge the heterogeneity gap between views, which may result in the loss of view-specific information that contributes to pattern mining. (2) They utilize fusion strategies that are susceptible to the discriminability of views, i.e., the concatenation and the weighing fusion of cross-view representations, to aggregate complementary and consistent information, which is difficult to guarantee semantic robustness of fusion representations. To this end, a simple yet effective cluster complementarity and consistency learning framework (CommonMVC) is proposed for mining patterns of multiview data. Specifically, a cluster complementarity learning is devised to endow fusion representations with discriminate information via nonlinearly aggregating view-specific information. Meanwhile, a cluster consistency learning is introduced via modeling instance-level and cluster-level partition invariance to coordinate the clustering partition of various views, which ensures the robustness of multi-view data pattern mining. Seamless collaboration between two components effectively enhances multi-view clustering performance. Finally, comprehensive experiments on four real-world datasets demonstrate CommonMVC establishes a new state-of-the-art baseline for the MVC task. Full article

Temporal and Spatial Evolution of Gross Primary Productivity of Vegetation and Its Driving Factors on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau Based on Geographical Detectors

To investigate the spatiotemporal evolution characteristics and primary driving factors of Gross Primary Productivity (GPP) on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, we employed an enhanced MODIS-PSN model. Utilizing the fifth-generation global climate reanalysis dataset (ECMWF ERA5), we generated GPP remote sensing products by integrating six natural factors. Through correlation analysis and geographical detector modeling, we quantitatively analyzed the spatiotemporal dynamics and key drivers of vegetation GPP across the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau from 2001 to 2022. The results demonstrate that GPP changes across the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau display pronounced spatial heterogeneity. The humid northeastern and southeastern regions exhibit significantly positive change rates, primarily distributed across wetland and forest ecosystems, with a maximum mean annual change rate of 12.40 gC/m2/year. In contrast, the central and southern regions display a decreasing trend, with the minimum change rate reaching −1.61 gC/m2/year, predominantly concentrated in alpine grasslands and desert areas. Vegetation GPP on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau shows significant correlations with temperature, vapor pressure deficit (VPD), evapotranspiration (ET), leaf area index (LAI), precipitation, and radiation. Among the factors analyzed, LAI demonstrates the strongest explanatory power for spatial variations in vegetation GPP across the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau. The dominant factors influencing vegetation GPP on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau are LAI, ET, and precipitation. The pairwise interactions between these factors exhibit linear enhancement effects, demonstrating synergistic multifactor interactions. This study systematically analyzed the response mechanisms and variations of vegetation GPP to multiple driving factors across the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau from a spatial heterogeneity perspective. The findings provide both a critical theoretical framework and practical insights for better understanding ecosystem response dynamics and drought conditions on the plateau. Full article

Chimeric antigen receptor (CAR)-T immunotherapy has revolutionized the management of patients with relapsed/refractory B-cell hematological malignancies. There is emerging evidence that CAR-engineered cells—not only T cells, but also natural killers and macrophages—might have a crucial role in the treatment of autoimmune disorders and solid tumors. Moreover, given the burden of chronic infectious diseases, the mortality and morbidity of infections in immunocompromised individuals, and the development of multidrug-resistant pathogens, including bacteria, fungi, and mycobacteria, a need for novel and personalized therapeutics in this field is emerging. To this end, the development of CAR cells for the management of chronic infections has been reported. In this literature review, we summarize the ongoing clinical and pre-clinical data about CAR cell products in the field of infectious diseases. Currently, clinical studies on CAR immunotherapy for infections mainly concern human immunodeficiency virus infection treatment, and data regarding other infections largely originate from preclinical in vitro and in vivo models. In the era of personalized medicine, effective and safe therapies for the management of chronic infections and infectious complications in immunocompromised patients are crucial. Full article

A Systematic Review of Early-Career Teacher Wellbeing, Stress, Burnout and Support Mechanisms During and Post COVID-19 Pandemic

Early-career teachers (ECTs) entered the profession during the COVID-19 pandemic, a period that introduced unique stressors to an already-demanding career phase. This systematic review examines empirical studies published between 2020 and February 2025 to explore how the pandemic influenced ECT wellbeing, with particular attention to stressors and protective factors impacting long-term retention and professional sustainability. Guided by PRISMA protocols, databases including Web of Science, ERIC, Google Scholar, and Scopus were searched, screening 470 records and identifying 30 studies that met inclusion criteria: peer-reviewed, empirical, focused on early-career teachers (within the first five years), and situated in or explicitly addressing the pandemic and its ongoing impacts. The results of Braun and Clarke’s thematic analysis (2006) revealed that pandemic-related challenges such as increased workload, professional isolation, disrupted induction processes, and emotional strain have persisted into the post-pandemic era, contributing to sustained risks of burnout and attrition. Regardless, protective factors identified during the pandemic—including high-quality mentoring, structured induction programmes, collegial support, professional autonomy, and effective individual coping strategies—continue to offer essential support, enhancing resilience and professional wellbeing. These findings underscore the necessity of institutionalising targeted supports to address the enduring effects of pandemic-related stressors on ECT wellbeing. By prioritising sustained mental health initiatives and structural supports, education systems can effectively mitigate long-term impacts and improve retention outcomes for early-career teachers in a post-pandemic educational landscape. In the era of digital intelligence, digital media landscapes increasingly influence cultural tourism consumption. Consumerism capitalizes on tourists’ superficial aesthetic commonalities, constructing a homogenized media imagination that leads to collective convergence in travel decisions, which obscures aspects of local culture, poses safety risks, and results in fleeting local tourism booms. In this study, semistructured interviews were conducted with 36 tourists, and NVivo12.0 was used for three-level node coding in a qualitative analysis to explore the digital media attributions of conformist travel behavior. The findings indicate that digital media landscapes exert a “digital persuasion” effect by reconstructing self-experience models, directing the individual gaze, and projecting idealized self-images. These mechanisms drive tourists to follow digital traffic trends and engage in imitative behaviors, ultimately shaping the phenomenon of “group roaming”, grounded in the psychological effect of herd behavior. The Alevis of Anatolia and the Balkans and the Alawites of Syria and southeastern Turkey are two distinct ethnoreligious communities frequently conflated in both media and scholarly literature, despite their divergent historical origins, theological differences, and varying sociocultural formations. While their shared histories of marginalization and persecution, certain theological parallels, and cognate ethnonyms contribute to this conflation, it largely stems from a broader tendency within mainstream Islamic frameworks to homogenize so-called heterodox communities without sufficient attention to their doctrinal and cultural specificities. This paper, grounded in a synthetic analysis of current scholarship, maps the key historical, theological, and sociocultural intersections and divergences between Alawite and Alevi communities. Situated within the broader framework of intra-Islamic diversity, it seeks to move beyond essentialist and homogenizing paradigms by foregrounding the distinct genealogies of each tradition, rooted, respectively, in the early pro-Alid movements of Iraq and Syria and in Anatolian Sufism. In addition, the study examines the communities’ overlapping political trajectories in the modern era, particularly their alignments with leftist and secular–nationalist currents, as well as their evolving relationship—from mutual unawareness to a recent political rapprochement—prompted by the growing existential threats posed by the rise of Sunni-Salafi Islamist movements. Background: Bipolar disorder (BD) is a chronic and disabling psychiatric condition characterized by recurring episodes of mania, hypomania, and depression. Despite the availability of mood stabilizers, antipsychotics, and antidepressants, long-term management remains challenging due to incomplete symptom control, adverse effects, and high relapse rates. Methods: This paper is a narrative review aimed at synthesizing emerging trends and future directions in the pharmacological treatment of BD. Results: Future pharmacotherapy for BD is likely to shift toward precision medicine, leveraging advances in genetics, biomarkers, and neuroimaging to guide personalized treatment strategies. Novel drug development will also target previously underexplored mechanisms, such as inflammation, mitochondrial dysfunction, circadian rhythm disturbances, and glutamatergic dysregulation. Physiological endophenotypes, such as immune-metabolic profiles, circadian rhythms, and stress reactivity, are emerging as promising translational tools for tailoring treatment and reducing associated somatic comorbidity and mortality. Recognition of the heterogeneous longitudinal trajectories of BD, including chronic mixed states, long depressive episodes, or intermittent manic phases, has underscored the value of clinical staging models to inform both pharmacological strategies and biomarker research. Disrupted circadian rhythms and associated chronotypes further support the development of individualized chronotherapeutic interventions. Emerging chronotherapeutic approaches based on individual biological rhythms, along with innovative monitoring strategies such as saliva-based lithium sensors, are reshaping the future landscape. Anti-inflammatory agents, neurosteroids, and compounds modulating oxidative stress are emerging as promising candidates. Additionally, medications targeting specific biological pathways implicated in bipolar pathophysiology, such as N-methyl-D-aspartate (NMDA) receptor modulators, phosphodiesterase inhibitors, and neuropeptides, are under investigation. Conclusions: Advances in pharmacogenomics will enable clinicians to predict individual responses and tolerability, minimizing trial-and-error prescribing. The future landscape may also incorporate digital therapeutics, combining pharmacotherapy with remote monitoring and data-driven adjustments. Ultimately, integrating innovative drug therapies with personalized approaches has the potential to enhance efficacy, reduce adverse effects, and improve long-term outcomes for individuals with bipolar disorder, ushering in a new era of precision psychiatry. In the modern era of smart grids, integrating advanced Geographic Information Systems (GISs) with protection coordination functionalities is pivotal for enhancing the reliability and efficiency of distribution networks. This paper presents an implementation of a web-based distribution network GIS platform that seamlessly integrates distribution system feeder GIS monitoring with the system model file layout, fault current analysis, and coordination simulation functions. The system can provide scalable and accessible solutions for power utilities, ensuring that protective devices operate in a coordinated manner to minimize outage impacts and improve service restoration times. The proposed GIS platform has demonstrated significant improvements in fault management and relay coordination through extensive simulation and field testing. This research advances the capabilities of distribution network management and sets a foundation for future enhancements in smart grid technology. Full article
