To further enhance the quality of Arthropoda (ISSN: 2813-3323) and the papers published in it, under the guidance of our Editor-in-Chief, Dr. Sammy De Grave, the journal’s aims and scope have been updated and revised. The original scope and the updated version are listed below:

Arthropoda (ISSN: 2813-3323) is an international, peer-reviewed, open access journal specializing in the study of arthropods, with a focus on non-insect arthropods, published quarterly online by MDPI. Arthropoda is the sister journal to Insects, providing a publication outlet for research on non-insect arthropods. The focus of Arthropoda is the publication of high-quality research with a focus on arachnids (mites, scorpions and spiders), myriapods (millipedes, centipedes and allied taxa), pycnogonids, horseshoe crabs and crustaceans. Manuscripts addressing fossil arthropods outside these taxonomic groups are also welcomed. The journal focuses on publishing research articles, reviews, communications and brief reports, but other article types will also be considered. There is no restriction on the maximum length of the papers. The full experimental details must be provided so that the results can be reproduced. A range of multimedia and specialized format files can be accommodated as supplementary files. We aim to publish a broad range of manuscripts with submissions possible across the breadth of biological science, as long as the focus remains on non-insect arthropods. We also look forward to receiving submissions overlapping with a cross-section of topics as diverse as molecular genetics, behaviour, neuroscience, biomechanics, biochemistry, systematics, physiology, developmental biology, ecology and palaeontology. |
