Craniomaxillofacial Trauma and Reconstruction (CMTR) Transferred Successfully to MDPI
We are pleased to announce the journal Craniomaxillofacial Trauma and Reconstruction (CMTR) has officially joined MDPI, marking a significant step forward in the journal's evolution. Previously operating as a hybrid open access journal, CMTR has now transitioned to a fully gold open access model, ensuring that the latest reasearch insights in craniomaxillofacial surgery are freely accessible to a global audience.
This partnership underscores MDPI's commitment to providing tailored publishing services. From editorial support to enhancing the journal's reach, a dedicated MDPI team will work closely with CMTR’s Editors-in-Chief, Professors Mike Yiu Yan Leung, Kathy Fan, and Florian M. Thieringer, along with an expert group of 15 Associate Editors and a distinguished Editorial Board. Together, we aim to advance the journal’s mission to deliver the highest standards in academic publishing and support AO CMF’s vision of excellence in patient care.
"This new collaboration expands our horizons, making the most promising research in craniomaxillofacial surgery available to scholars globally, without restriction," wrote the Editors-in-Chief in their recent editorial.
Peter Roth, MDPI’s Head of Publishing, expressed his enthusiasm for this new partnership: "We are thrilled to partner with CMTR and support its mission to advance research and patient care in this critical field."
For MDPI, this agreement highlights our role as a trusted publishing partner capable of adapting to the unique needs of our partners. With over 450 fully open access journals and a proven track record of supporting global academic communities, MDPI is well-positioned to amplify CMTR's impact. This partnership reflects the shared values of MDPI and AO CMF, both global authorities in their respective fields.
We are excited to see CMTR flourish under this new agreement and invite researchers, clinicians, and readers to join us in advancing the field of craniomaxillofacial surgery.
