Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

Recent advances in veterinary neurology and oncology have significantly enhanced our understanding and management of neurological and neoplastic diseases in animals across Europe. Over the past decades, emerging research, innovative diagnostic modalities, and novel treatment strategies have transformed clinical practices and improved animal health outcomes. As in human medicine, neurological and oncological conditions in animals are increasingly recognized not only for their impact on individual animal welfare but also for their complex biological and clinical interconnections.

The landscape of veterinary neurology and oncology is continually evolving, influenced by factors such as technological progress, genetic research, and a deeper understanding of disease mechanisms. The expansion of these fields has led to improved diagnostic accuracy, personalized therapeutic approaches, and a greater ability to predict disease progression. In addition, close interdisciplinary collaboration among neurologists, oncologists, pathologists, and researchers is essential to tackle the complex challenges associated with neurological lesions and diseases.

This Special Issue, "Veterinary Neurology and Oncology in Europe: Latest Advances and Prospects," aims to showcase cutting-edge research, innovative clinical applications, and future directions in these fields. By fostering the exchange of knowledge across disciplines and regions, this publication seeks to enhance understanding, improve diagnostic and therapeutic protocols, and promote a proactive approach to managing neurological and oncological diseases in animals.

It is anticipated that this collection will inspire continued research collaborations, inform clinical practice, and ultimately contribute to enhancing the health and well-being of animals across Europe.
