Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
Ancient books and documents serve as the basis for the academic community to understand, interpret, and study Eastern civilization, and are also the most important medium for cultural exchange between the East and the West. Digital technology, especially intelligent technologies such as OCR (Optical Character Recognition), deep learning, knowledge graphs, and large-scale models, has profoundly changed the patterns and methods of organizing, reading, researching, and disseminating ancient manuscripts. The online environment connects ancient manuscripts researchers around the world more closely. We aim to promote the development and revitalization of ancient literature resources in intelligent environment, providing a new perspective and broader research space for the study of East Asian classical studies. The special issue is related to the conference The 4th International Conference on Digital Humanities for East Asia Classics (https://dheac.org/).
We solicit and encourage manuscripts that deal with the following and related topics:
- Corpus and Semantic Resource Development
- Models and Algorithms
- Knowledge Graphs
- Cultural Analysis and Computation
- Platform and Resource Development
- Specialized Domains in Classics
- Digitization and Revitalization of Cultural Heritage
- Digitization of Intangible Cultural Heritage
- Smart Libraries and Integrated Publishing
- Curriculum and Discipline Development
