Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
The Special Issue “Advances in Ethnobotany” focuses on showcasing current research that deepens our understanding of the diverse relationships between people and plants. As ethnobotany continues to evolve as an interdisciplinary field, this issue invites contributions that explain plant knowledge across cultural, ecological, and geographical contexts. We welcome studies on medicinal plants uses, cultural practices, indigenous knowledge, chain of medicinal plants distribution from collectors to the national and international traders and users, ethnopharmacological studies, integration of GIS and spatial analysis, conserving biocultural heritage, ethnobotanical databases and digital repositories, traditional conservation practices, and the role of ethnobotany in addressing contemporary challenges in terms of sustainability, community resilience, and health innovation.
This issue is intended to serve as a comprehensive source of information for scholars, practitioners, and readers seeking updated insights into ethnobotanical research. This issue will focus on original high-quality research that will support both scientific development and the preservation of traditional knowledge.
