Advancing Nanophotonics: Research, Innovations, and Intelligence

Dear Colleagues,

We are pleased to invite you to contribute your latest work to this Special Issue, which aims to showcase the latest breakthroughs in nanophotonics, with a particular focus on how new material, new phenomena, and new technologies, including artificial intelligence, re revolutionizing the field. We seek to provide a platform for researchers to share their findings in this area.

The scope of this Issue is broad, encompassing theoretical and experimental studies in nanophotonics. We welcome submissions that explore the design and simulation of nanophotonic devices, the integration of AI in nanophotonic systems, advancements in quantum research, and the role of nanophotonics in sensing, imaging, communication technologies, and photonics computing. We also solicit papers that address challenges and future directions in the field.

Research may include (but is not limited to) the following areas:

• Photonic bound states in the continuum
• Modulation of light fields based on metasurfaces
• Novel metasurface devices
• Advanced imaging based on metasurface
• AI for optical metasurface
• Optical computing
• Inverse design in photonics and nanophotonics
• Artificial intelligence nanophotonics

Manuscript Submission Information

Manuscripts should be submitted online at www.mdpi.com by registering and logging in to this website. Once you are registered, click here to go to the submission form. Manuscripts can be submitted until the deadline. All submissions that pass pre-check are peer-reviewed. Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal (as soon as accepted) and will be listed together on the special issue website. Research articles, review articles as well as short communications are invited. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 250 words) can be sent to the Editorial Office for assessment.

Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process. Photonics is an international peer-reviewed open access monthly journal published by MDPI.
