Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

I hereby invite you to submit your work to this Special Issue, entitled “Pharmacist Workforce Challenges and Solutions: Insights from Research and Practice”, in Pharmacy (ISSN: 2226-4787).

Recent health landscape changes, including the pandemic and natural disasters, have highlighted the essential role of pharmacists in our healthcare system. Workforce capability and capacity are key elements in ensuring sustainability in any healthcare system. In recent times, workforce challenges have been reported due to the increased health demands worldwide.

It is timely to explore these challenges and identify evidence-informed solutions with which to build workforce capability and capacity.

The “Pharmacist Workforce Challenges and Solutions: Insights from Research and Practice” Special Issue aims to present a collection of research articles, reviews, meta-analyses, commentaries, and opinion pieces that explore the challenges faced by pharmacists in their profession and propose innovative solutions. Through empirical studies, case examples, and practical experiences, the Special Issue will provide valuable insights into the evolving roles of pharmacists, workforce shortages, burnout, and strategies for recruitment as well as retention.
