Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
Worldwide, 55% of adult women in 2016 were classified as having overweight or obesity per the World Health Organization. The health risks of overweight and obesity have been well characterized, including the increased risk for heart disease, diabetes, and certain cancers.
For this Special Issue, we invite research papers focusing on diet and physical activity in women with overweight/obesity. Topics of interest include:
- Racial and ethnic disparities;
- Social and economic inequalities;
- Lifecycle stages and obesity such as postpartum, perimenopause, and menopause;
- Impact of COVID-19 on weight status;
- Appetite regulation and weight management;
- Weight cycling and disordered eating;
- Focus on specific populations (e.g., athletes, armed forces, etc.);
- Health impacts such as gut microbiota, musculoskeletal health, and chronic diseases.
We look forward to receiving your submissions.
