Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
Changing consumption patterns, growing nutritional awareness and the dynamic development of digital technologies mean that assessing nutrition and food consumption is now not only a methodological challenge, but also a key element in understanding consumer behaviour. Contemporary diet research increasingly goes beyond traditional measurement tools, integrating data-driven approaches, mobile solutions, artificial intelligence, and the end-user perspective.
We invite authors to submit original research papers, systematic reviews and conceptual articles that present innovative methods of assessing food intake, analyse current nutritional trends, and take into account consumer experiences, motivations and decisions. We particularly welcome papers addressing the reliability of nutritional data, the personalisation of measurement tools, the impact of new technologies on the quality of information collected, and the use of research results in public health practice.
The publications in this issue aim to create a space for interdisciplinary discussion combining nutrition science, epidemiology, social sciences, consumer psychology, and data analytics. We encourage you to submit papers that not only describe what people eat, but also explain why they make such choices and how this knowledge can support more effective nutrition strategies, health policies, and innovations in the area of food and nutrition.

Manuscripts can be submitted until the deadline. All submissions that pass pre-check are peer-reviewed. Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal (as soon as accepted) and will be listed together on the special issue website. Research articles, review articles as well as short communications are invited. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 250 words) can be sent to the Editorial Office for assessment.
Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process.
