Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

One of the most significant sources of bioactive chemicals in nature is the Lamiaceae family, which contains important fragrant species. The extracts and essential oils (EOs) obtained from these species are rich in secondary metabolites, mainly terpenes and phenols, which give them a variety of biological properties. This edition will be focused on a thorough analysis of these activities, highlighting their potential as natural alternatives in various areas. In addition, the anti-inflammatory, insecticidal, and antispasmodic properties of Lamiaceae EOs are also important topics to be explored, which will be welcomed in this edition. The aim is to collect the latest scientific knowledge, emphasising the continued relevance of Lamiaceae for the research and development of new products.
